Committment to the Group Leaders

After the organization of small groups the group activities must be effectively committed to the well-trained leaders. It is very important that a qualified leader leads the small group (Becker 1993a, 59). When disqualified leader leads the small group, some problems may take place in the activities due to lake of leadership, for examples, some doctrinal problem, relationship problem, and spiritual problem of faith.

In order to commit a small group activity to a leader the pastor of the church must train and personally interview with the leader before the small group activity begins (Becker 1993a, 59). It is necessary for the leader to be trained before he works for the small group.

Besides, it is necessary to join an assistant leader in the small group activity so as to help the chief leader of the small group. There have two reasons: (1) to help the chief leader and to act for the small group in place of him when he cannot work from an unavoidable circumstance, (2) to be trained as an internship, who will be a chief leader of a new small/cell group, into which the existing small/cell group will be divided in the future (Cho 1981, 66, 113).
