Needs of Supervision
Supervision is absolutely needed for a supportive relationship between the members to improve the quality of ministry being offered (Becker 1993a, 79). To whom is the supervision beneficial? The supervision is for the sake of the small group members, the group leaders, and the pastor (Becker 1993a, 80).
Firstly, supervision helps the small group members to discover themselves, to solve their problems, and to improve their Christian lives. Secondly, supervision helps the group leaders not to be neglectful but to develop their jobs. Thirdly, supervision helps the pastor to grasp the stream of their small group ministry, and to be able to plan the strategy for the whole growth of the church (Becker 1993a, 80, 91).
