Spirituality/Spiritual Attribute
● The term spirituality has been used in diversity.
(1) France : excellent cognition to life (recognition).
(2) America : transcendent knowledge (transcendentalism).
(3) Cults : communicatory medium between the dead and the living person.
(4) Christianity : religious spiritual sense.
(5) New Testament : specific spiritual attribute.
(6) Bible : not spirituality but spiritual (πνευματικό).
■ Spirituality has been using not ambiguously but distinctly in particular in the Christianity.
■ Spiritual man : a person belong to the (Holy) Spirit.
[1] Dimension of Ontology (Spirituality of Regeneration)
(Belonging: Nonchangeable/non-consumable)
(1) Being of New Life (New Creature)
① Spiritual Insight ....“no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again“ (John 3:3)
② Spiritual Register ....“no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit” (John 3:5)
③ Spiritual State .........“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit” (John 3:8)
(2) Receiving the Spirit of Sonship
① Spirit of Sonship .....“because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father” (Rom. 8:14-15)
② Children of God .....“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children” (Rom. 8:16)
(3) Hire of God / Hire with Christ
① The Hire of God ......“Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory...”(Rom. 8:17)
② Eternal Inheritance ...“In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you”(1Pet. 1:3-4)

(Moral State: Changeable/Consumable)
(1) Heart to be Gentle
① Heart of Flesh ...“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh” (Ek. 36:26)
② Sanctification ......“But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God” (1Cor. 6:11; Tit. 3:5)
“who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance” (1Pet. 1:2)
(2) Keep the Laws/ Obedience
① Keep Laws ........“And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws” (Ek. 36:27)
“For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law“ (Gal. 5:17-18)
② Obedience .........“who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance” (1Pet. 1:2)

(1) Change of Christian Life
① Minister to Each Other
“All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved” (Acts. 2:44-47)
(2) Power of Prayer
① Prayer on the Day of Pentecost
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them” (Acts. 2:1-5)
② Prayer at the Disciple‘s Meeting
“Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly” (Acts. 4:29-31)
(3) Various Spiritual Gifts
① Different Spiritual Gifts
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues” (1Cor.12:4-10)
(4) Power of Evangelism
① Prophecy of Jesus Christ
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth“ (Acts. 1:8)
② Promise of Holy Spirit
“And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven“ (John 20:22-23)
③ Ministry of the Disciples
“She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment the spirit left her” (Acts. 16:18)
