신천지 수법 (Virus Spreading Cult Group)- 영어/한글
The Coronavirus became pandemic in Korea because of a cult group called “신천지,” meaning “the New Heaven and Earth.” Its founder, Man-hee Lee, is believed to be the ultimate Savior by his followers.
They teach that traditional Christian churches are under Satan’s control, and their mission is to “rescue” people from Satan’s grip. To achieve this goal, they operate covertly. They encourage their members to become active members of a traditional church, where they then invite members to their Bible studies. If the church is small, they try to exploit feelings of dissatisfaction congregants may have toward their pastor, encourage them to kick him out, then invite one of their own members to become the new pastor.
They rely on lies, lots of lies. Their tactics in spreading falsehoods are no-holds-barred. They justify their actions partly through Isaiah 9:6 and 11:2. These verses, predicting the future Messiah, call him a “counselor.” Unfortunately, the word used in the Korean Bible can also be translated as a “schemer.” They insist the Messiah is a schemer, and falsehood is a God-approved weapon to defeat Satan in his own game, who is the father of lies. (Their entire doctrine is based on similar dubious interpretations of the Bible.)
In order to infiltrate a church, they hide behind false identities. When their headquarters in Dae-gu was found to be the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak in Korea (many of their members were active in propagating their religion in Wuhan, China, the city where this pandemic started), members who were symptomatic did not report to health officials for fear of their true identities being revealed. As a result, the virus spread rapidly all over South Korea.
This video reveals their tactics for infiltrating traditional churches using false identities and lies. It was meant for internal use only, but was somehow leaked to the public.
